| Complete Flexibility in Format |
The new 'template-based' strategy used in PPIC allows the job list and job detail pages to take on any appearance. Not only is the format flexible, but the content is as well. Any or all of 38 PPIC data elements can be included in the page design.
|
| Job List Sort Order |
The order of the job list is now determined by 'primary' and 'secondary' sort fields that can be controlled on the PPIC Administration form. The two sort levels can refer to any of the available fields for a job.
|
| Faster
loading |
Using the previous version of PPIC when many jobs were posted to your web site the job posting web page became quite large. This meant that it took a long time for the page to load into your customer's browser. Your customer was forced to wait. The new separate 'job list'
loads quickly and allows your customer to view the
entire list of short job summaries immediately.
|
| Easier to respond to a job |
When a customer is viewing a single job in a long list of jobs and finds it interesting there was no immediate way for them to take action. This could discourage a response. The new individual job pages can be easily customized to include a button associated with each job. This button can, when clicked, present a filled-out response form. The customer can express an interest in a job immediately.
|
| Better search engine indexing |
Internet search engines regularly scan web sites for entries for their search indexes. Search engines could not efficiently analyze the full contents of the old job page. The new individual job pages can be analyzed and indexed properly by these search engines. This means more 'hits' on your pages.
